The Take! will be a four-player cooperative heisting game very much like PAYDAY 2, you know 3D and all that, but without all the cringe-worthy characterization and plot, accretion, shitty movie tie-ins, and public relations clusterfucks every other update.

I began work on it in 2016, after the Black Market update (the one with the micro-transactions) finally inspired me to quit merely criticizing the game and see how viable replacing it would be. As it turned out, Unreal Engine had been released for free-ish only months earlier, so I got to work. There was a learning curve to it, but things are much quicker and easier now that I know my way around the engine.

It’s still slow work doing it by myself so let’s not get on any HypeTrains here, but I’m making steady progress.
